We’ve just added a new Carousel Element in Brizy Pro. This is another element that we are super excited about. Mainly because it is done the Brizy way 🙂 and the same as Tabs and Accordion you can create a carousel and populate it with anything you like.
This is the 6th Brizy Pro preview build. More about on how we plan to launch the Pro plus a list of all the features we’ll add in the coming weeks/months can be found in this article.
Here is what you’ll find in this article. Use the links below to jump to a specific section:
Download & Install
Brizy Pro can’t be accessed directly from your WordPress admin. The Pro is an actual extension of the Brizy Free plugin so need to download the Pro plugin from your Brizy.io account and manually install it in your WordPress.
Step 1. Login into your Brizy.io account and download the Brizy Pro plugin .zip
Step 2. Login into your WordPress admin and manually install & activate Brizy Pro from Plugins > Add New (Upload the entire zip you downloaded from your Brizy account, don’t unzip it.)
Important: The Pro will only work if you have Brizy Free installed & activated.
You will already have the 0.0.5. installed, you’ll need to download & install the Pro again from your Brizy.io account on every update we make.
Don’t worry, we are working on the update part. You’ll be able to do it directly from your WordPress admin once we officially launch the Pro.
The Carousel Element
The Carousel Element lets you create a basic carousel. What is cool about it is that you can populate your carousel with whatever you want using the same Brizy tools you’ve been using. Think of it as a container element rather than a carousel shortcode.
The problem with developer predefined shortcodes is the predefined part. Someone, usually a developer decides the structure of the carousel and the users are forced to use that structure. Want to add something new or remove something? Tough luck, you usually can’t.
This is the main issue the Brizy’s Carousel Element solves, it gives you the power to go crazy and create basically any carousel you want by adding anything you want in the carousel using the tools you are accustomed to.
How to add a carousel
Step 1. Find the Carousel Element in the left sidebar and drag it on the page.
Step 2. A default carousel will be added to the page. We had to populate it with some content, but you can change it any way you want.
Step 3. Find the basic carousel settings under the carousel icon on the options toolbar.
From this point on, you work with the tools you already know and love from Brizy. Add elements play with colors, backgrounds, opacities, columns. The sky is the limit.
Can’t wait to see what you guys think of the carousel element just added in Brizy Pro 0.0.6.
