It’s been an incredibly exciting 3 years of building Brizy from scratch, with its relentless ups & downs that all startups face, but the journey just started. Way more excitement will come in the period ahead, let's see why.

A short history

Since we launched Brizy in 2018, we worked tirelessly and have been profitable, thanks to you, since day one. However, we have a few very exciting products in the pipeline which will further enable you to make the creation of websites easier for yourself and your end users.

We started in 2018 with Brizy for WordPress and brought something new to the table through ease of use and a low learning curve, in a website builder space that was seemingly overcrowded. Today we have over 90k active installs and over 3,5M downloads.

In 2019 we’ve launched Brizy Cloud, our SaaS managed platform where our customers can build websites in the cloud pain free, hosting, SSL, CDN, optimisations, included. Today, Brizy Cloud hosts over 300k projects.

Together with Brizy Cloud came the layer that linked Brizy WordPress and Brizy Cloud together with the objective to create the first multi platform website builder where you don’t have any constraints and can move projects inside the ecosystem at will.

We’ll continue to bet on the multi platform approach in the next year by developing more functionality around it and also add new products into the ecosystem.

In 2021 we started to develop our B2B vertical through our white label reseller program where we offer Brizy WordPress and Brizy Cloud and our APIs to enterprise partners that are in need of a website builder solution for their clients. Namecheap one of the leaders in the hosting space, is offering Brizy PRO to all their clients, and we are looking forward to working with a range of hosting providers across the industry.

Today, in 2022 we launch Brizy Local, a product perfect for SaaS businesses that need a web-content builder on their own infrastructure, no matter the provider. Brizy Local is a seamless, secure & scalable Enterprise solution. Get a demo here

We couldn’t have done it without you

We have been incredibly overwhelmed and humbled by the support and the positive feedback from our passionate community and customers, who helped grow Brizy to where it is now.

Sounds a bit cheese every time I say it, but we couldn’t have done it without you. Brizy is yours as much as ours and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your feedback, excitement and support.

The investment round

Today, we are excited to announce that we’ve raised a $2.4M seed investment round and we are backed by one of Europe’s most active tech investment funds, Fuel Ventures

The founding team of Fuel backed payments processor Paddle who was recently valued at $1.4 billion. London based Fuel Ventures has, furthermore, invested in a number of hugely successful UK tech businesses such as Heroes, Volt, and Lunio and has built a portfolio of over 100 enterprises since their first investment in 2016. Fuel now is one of the most active funds in Europe.

We have aggressive plans for growth over the next 18 months and are very proud to have Fuel on board as a partner.

“We receive several hundred investment proposals each month but only invest in 10-15 per year. Deciding to invest into Brizy was easy. They have a world-class product, have a proven track record and business model, a strong team of founders and an exciting lineup of products in the pipeline. Even with the recent slowdown of VC activity we felt confident that Brizy will take the website builder market by storm!”

Founder & Managing Partner at Fuel VENTURES

Why raise it now?

With the recent economic downturn, you might ask yourself why we would raise a seed round right now. And the reason is because we needed fuel (pun intended) to accelerate our growth.

We only approached a very few select potential investors to help us with this raise, since we were looking for both expertise to break into new markets, as well as funding to expand our team.

Fuel’s team has a rock solid track record of bringing SaaS businesses to the next level (their founders were early investors in Paddle, Heroes, Volt, and Lunio).

We’re extremely grateful and even more proud that we managed to raise during these more challenging times. This shows that we are 100% on track to developing the world’s greatest website builder for resellers, agencies, and end users alike!

What will we do with the investment?

TL;DR: Grow the team, develop new & exciting Brizy products (more on that later next year), and fuel our sales and marketing.

The longer answer is that we will basically hire on all fronts. Check out Careers page to see our currently open positions. We are looking for developers, QA, support reps, customer success, sales and marketing talent.

Maybe you didn’t know - we never had anyone dedicated to doing marketing at Brizy and have grown organically through our amazing community of early Brizy adopters. So now it’s time to get some help to push Brizy further.

Don’t worry though, we will always remain true to our roots - product first! Just from now on, you might get those features you’ve been waiting for a little bit (or a lot) faster!

What does this mean for you?

The journey we are starting in 2023 together with this raise will help us grow and scale Brizy from a startup to the next step, a bigger company and a strong global brand in the website building space.

This will have an impact on all our customers and partners. Everything will pick up speed as we move into 2023 and grow the team, but most importantly it will give you the confidence that you’ve invested in the right vision and product for yourself and your clients.

Let’s make it count.

Much love! 💜
