Very exciting news this week, we've released a new Collaboration tool that will let you work better with your team members.
This collaboration tool will increase your communication efficiency with your team and/or clients by letting you manage design reviews & feedback on the projects you are working on.
What we've discovered is that email doesn't cut it when it comes to design reviews, feedback, and changes. Things tend to get lost in the email pile, you don't have a clear visual representation of what needs to be changed on what page, plus, you need to use all sorts of external screenshot tools.
It will eventually work, but it's kind of a pain to get everything through, clients get frustrated, you get frustrated. It's a mess.
With this collaboration tool, we aim to solve this feedback loop issue we always had when working with clients and inside the team.
Let's break down what we've added in this update:
Use the collaboration tool to add and resolve comments together with your team or clients on the projects you are working on.
The best use is for client design review or feedback, be it in the initial wireframing stage or later on in the design process when you are ready to go live.
In a conscious and deliberate effort of designing the tool to be a deeply integrated part of the whole experience, we adapted our builder UI & UX to fit the collaboration tool.
If you've used the Brizy builder before, once you access the Collaboration tool, you'll find it very familiar.
1) Comments - access all the comments in the collaboration tool. This is where you'll spend most of your time when you are here.
2) Edit page in builder - this lets you jump directly in the builder to edit the page you are on.
3) Responsive views - lets you change the responsive views to add or resolve comments based on individual views (tablet & mobile).
4) Back to dashboard - brings you back to the cloud dashboard.
You can access the collaboration tool from two places:
Once in the tool, the mouse will transform into a plus icon. Move it where you want to add the comments and press a left click to add a comment.
Add comments on any page from your website by changing the page from the left sidebar.
You can add comments in responsive views as well. Change to Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile from the tabs on the comments panel.
Or from the responsive icon on the sidebar.
Resolve comments to mark them as done. You can do that by opening a comment on the page and checking the Resolve checkbox on the top right.
Once resolved the comment will become blue with a satisfying white check icon in the middle.
Here are some tips and tricks to help you get around the collaboration tool in Brizy Cloud:
A lot is in the works for Brizy Cloud in the next weeks and months. We are actively working to put together and bring into production a huge update that is in the works for more than 6 months and it touches on hundreds of issues, improvements, and new functionality.
Until next time.
