Did you know you can sync and replicate what you build in Brizy WordPress on our Cloud platform?
Different CMS platforms have different strengths. Instead of locking yourself into one CMS, you might use one for its ease of use, like WordPress, and another for creating and hosting high-converting simple or multipage sites independently of the WordPress ecosystem.
Generally, syncing between CMS platforms lets you take advantage of both worlds. In this post, we’ll focus on Brizy's cross-platform flexibility and what it means for our users at this moment.
This is after we’ve explained the differences between Brizy for WordPress and Brizy Cloud and when to use either platform.
Let’s begin.
Generally speaking, Brizy for WordPress is a drag-and-drop builder for WordPress. It replaces the basic WordPress editor with a live front-end editor so you can create complex layouts and design your website live. You won’t have to toggle between the editor and preview modes.
But the big deal about Brizy for WordPress is it lets you build professional websites that enjoy the full benefits of the WordPress ecosystem. Benefits like:
and more.
Once your WordPress website is up and running, you can monetize it how you want. You can run ads, use third-party ad networks, etc. However, monetization options are limited in WordPress.com unless you're on a premium plan.
How about Brizy Cloud?
In the Brizy Cloud option, you’ll have access to the same user-friendly drag-and-drop builder and interface for designing websites just like in the WordPress plan. This includes the same starter templates, block elements, etc., for every marketing niche, the inline-editing experience, the list goes on.
One of the biggest differences is you’ll host Brizy WordPress yourself while Brizy Cloud is hosted by us, Brizy, on AWS lightning-fast servers. In addition, you’ll manage your site’s content within the Brizy Cloud platform independently of WordPress CMS. The Cloud platform includes
It also streamlines billing management per workspace by separating expenses for each project.
Tip: Each workspace can have its branding, domain settings, and configurations, so you can tailor experiences per project or client. In case you opt for the white-label subscription plan.
Overall, agencies, developers, freelancers, businesses—anyone— can leverage the Brizy page builder on either the Cloud platform or WordPress CMS for different reasons or use cases. Let's find out.
Both WordPress and the Cloud platform have their strengths and different features. Here’s when you can use either CMS platform:
It could be for a simple reason, such as wanting to build a WordPress site, ecommerce store, blog, portfolio, membership site, etc., but using the Brizy page builder for its simplicity, user-friendliness, ease of use, reliability, etc.
If you want full ownership of your site's content (and structure) and hosting environment: With WordPress, you own the hosting, control backups, manage security, and can export and migrate your site anytime.
By itself, Brizy uses clean and semantic HTML markup so search engines can easily crawl and index.
On the other hand, you can use Brizy Cloud if you want:
There are also other self-hosted options (with tutorials) like server sync and third-party free hosting:
This easy publishing on custom subdomains or branded URLs makes Brizy Cloud well-suited for temporary or specialized pages, such as sales funnels or event sites.
In addition, Brizy Cloud seamlessly integrates marketing and automation tools to help you capture leads, track user engagement, and run email campaigns directly from your created website. Overall, these tools are meant to grow your audience and streamline marketing efforts.
Several Brizy features are worth highlighting. Most importantly, we’ll focus on one feature that’s critical and particularly relevant to Brizy users right now: cross-platform content syncing.
So, what’s this feature and why is it relevant now?
Brizy's cross-platform syncing makes it incredibly simple to manage and update content across both Brizy Cloud and Brizy for WordPress. Right out of the box, you can effortlessly sync layouts and block elements in your block manager across these two platforms.
In simple terms, sync allows you to create any page or block, save it to your block manager, and then sync it to another platform, from which you can use it as a template or to duplicate pages.
We’ll start with the WordPress installation.
2. Doing this for the first time will open a screen like this one where you can enter your details and log in to your Brizy account. Connecting to your Brizy account syncs your library (saved blocks and layouts) to the Cloud.
3. Hitting Skip turns off sync for this layout. Still, it’s a setting you can connect to later in the block manager.
4. The shortcut for this is Ctrl + Shift + A for Windows and cmd + shift + A for Mac. Then, click the Saved tab to see your synced blocks and layouts.
5. You can click the Connect button on the left panel, and enter your email address and password to link to your Brizy account. If you have no Brizy account, sign in.
6. Because sync won’t happen by default in Brizy WordPress, click the Sync Now button to ensure this. The sync icon will change to green to show the sync is successful.
7. On the Cloud platform, you don’t have to set up anything. Your blocks and layouts automatically sync here across projects and sub-accounts.
Now that your WordPress installation is connected, you’ll find those saved blocks and layouts on the Cloud platform as well. All the changes you make on the library, or in any connected WordPress installation, will sync automatically in the Cloud’s block manager.
Then, for the WordPress version, you’ll have to click sync now. You can disconnect and reconnect as you wish.
That being said, why is this cross-platform flexibility a big deal?
The big deal about building and syncing websites across WordPress and Brizy Cloud is that it provides flexibility, future-proofing, and better control over your digital assets.
We’ll make this clear in a few. But the main reason we bring this cross-platform syncing functionality up is because of the ongoing WordPress-WP engine conflict that's currently a hot issue. There's a growing concern about the risks of being too dependent on one open-source provider (or relying too much on WordPress).
This came after WordPress, for example, took a controversial measure like making developers confirm they aren’t affiliated with WP Engine.
Brizy Cloud acts as a contingency for WordPress sites because of its cross-platform syncing functionality. It offers a platform-independent option that ensures you aren't fully reliant on WordPress. If there are any WordPress-specific issues, you can easily transfer all your content from Brizy WP (the WordPress version) to Brizy Cloud in just half a day. Honestly, it's impossible to achieve this in Elementor, Divi, or any other website builder based on WP.
While it’s unlikely WordPress will go bust any time soon, the point still stands. In a way, syncing your library across platforms acts as a backup strategy so you're safe when one CMS goes down.
The following are other benefits of Brizy’s cross-platform syncing:
Brizy for WordPress and the Cloud platform have different strengths. For example, you can use Brizy WordPress if you need WordPress's powerful plugins and SEO capabilities. Brizy Cloud works well for quick, standalone sites that don’t need the WordPress ecosystem.
Plus, syncing between Brizy WordPress and Brizy Cloud means you can reuse content across different sites without manually copying things over. This saves a lot of time if you manage multiple sites or push updates regularly.
Cross-platform syncing allows you to save and use the same synced layouts and blocks on both the WordPress option and the Cloud platform. In addition, you can also create and edit content with the same Brizy editor regardless of whether you're on WordPress or Brizy Cloud. This consistent design experience simplifies workflows letting you work efficiently without switching design methods.
Brizy makes it straightforward to transfer content between Brizy WordPress and Brizy Cloud. If you start a site on WordPress but later need to move it to a platform without WordPress dependencies (or vice versa), you can easily migrate without rebuilding from scratch.
Basically, having this cross-platform syncing ability offers peace of mind knowing your site's future isn't locked into one specific platform.
Brizy cross-platform syncing capability makes it easy to keep your content and web designs consistent between WordPress and Brizy Cloud. You can easily transfer the same design you're working on WordPress to Brizy Cloud exactly as you made it. In this way, if you want to manage your site on Brizy Cloud instead of WordPress, you don't have to redo your work. Any changes made will reflect on either platform.
In addition, you'll enjoy the benefits of both worlds. The user-friendliness, popularity, and extensive features of WordPress and the simplicity, ease of use, and reliability of Brizy Cloud.
