If you’ve been using Brizy for your WordPress or Cloud-based projects, get ready for an exciting update that promises to supercharge your website's performance. We are thrilled to introduce the new Brizy Compiler, a game-changer that offers an amazing 200% performance increase and improves page loading speeds 3x for the first loading after an update. Here’s everything you need to know about this latest enhancement.
The Brizy Compiler is an improvement in the way our builder compiles the website code in order to provide the browsers with a page layout they can understand. The functionality is designed to optimize your website's performance by significantly reducing loading times by moving the compilation part from the cloud to locally, directly in your browser, without the need of transfer times. Whether you’re using Brizy Cloud or Brizy WordPress, the compiler works seamlessly across both platforms, ensuring your site runs faster and smoother than ever before.
During the development of this functionality, we conducted extensive testing to measure the performance improvements. By comparing the previous version and the new compiler loading times, we observed remarkable results.
The way websites work in Brizy, the entire cache for the site is deleted after a page or content update. This has to do with how our Global blocks work, given they are used across the entire website in headers, footers, etc. And because the site-level cache is deleted, the first time a page was previously loaded, it took quite a bit of time to load until the "compilation" of the page was done on our servers, and then pushed to the browser.
Now, with the new compiler, this is done much faster directly at the browser level. Websites that previously took 7-8 seconds to load (in the first instance after an update on your site content) these can now be accessed in just 2 seconds. Moreover, once a page is loaded, navigating between pages is almost instantaneous, due to caching taking over.
For new projects, the compiler's benefits are automatically applied, ensuring immediate performance boosts. However, to take advantage of these enhancements on existing projects, you need to perform a simple action:
This quick process ensures that the compiler works its magic, optimizing your website for super-fast loading times.
To illustrate the difference, in the video above we tested two websites using the same template. The first website, without the compiler, exhibited the standard loading times we’ve grown accustomed to—taking a few seconds to fully load and navigate between pages. The second website, equipped with the compiler, demonstrated near-instantaneous loading, highlighting the dramatic improvement in performance.
In today’s fast-paced digital world, website speed is crucial. Faster loading times not only enhance user experience but also improve your site’s SEO rankings and reduce bounce rates. With the Brizy Compiler, you can ensure that your visitors enjoy a smooth and responsive browsing experience, keeping them engaged and satisfied.
We’re committed to continually improving our platform and providing you with the best tools to enhance your web projects. We are still optimizing the compiler performance so we can shave even more time from the first time load of a page after a site update.
