Managing your media files just got easier with Brizy Cloud's new feature! Our latest update includes a media library allowing quick access and management of all site files while working on a project within the Cloud platform.
We’ve been working toward bringing you this update for some months. Finally, it’s here. We think you’ll love it!
Here’s everything you need to know about this latest Brizy Cloud update.
The Brizy Cloud media library is a central hub for all your website media..
Users can store, organize, and manage various types of media files, including images, videos, audio files, and documents (and other file types), for specific web projects.
It functions similarly to the Brizy for WordPress media library. It provides an easy and centralized way to upload, access, and retrieve media assets for use in website content. This centralizes media management, streamlining your workflow for optimal efficiency.
As a result, you get to enjoy a more efficient site-building experience with Brizy Cloud without the hassle of handling disorganized media files.
But, how does the Brizy Cloud media library update help manage and organize your media files so effortlessly? More specifically, what can you do with this new update?
The new Brizy Cloud media library streamlines handling media files in the following ways. You can:
While working in the Brizy editor, you can easily upload your own media files to the library folder and make them readily available for future use (whenever you need them). Doing this is simple. After opening your media library, you can add all media types such as images, audio, video, and documents & files from your desktop. Or simply drag and drop files into your library.
NOTE: Currently, the media library is only accessible via the editor after adding a template, image, gallery, or block elements (with image elements), etc., to your CMS builder.
To insert media into your website, just select an image and click the Insert file button to add the image.
The media library uses a structured organization system for easy access and file management. As your media file volume steadily grows or you have multiple contributors, you can easily categorize and sort your files into images, audio, video, and document & file subcategories/folders. In fact, Brizy does this automatically for you. In this way, you can easily find files, retrieve them, and update them on your website as required.
Some of the media file properties or details you can edit within this library include the file name (it should be crystal clear and descriptive) and alt description. Doing so makes files easier to find and an alt description can improve your SEO. After uploading, select a media file, and on the left panel, you’ll see the file details. There you’ll find a URL link to your file as well.
To quickly find specific types of media files, such as images, videos, or documents, you can apply filters based on the file type. Alternatively, you can use the search function to type in the exact name of the file you need. It will appear instantly.
For instance, you can organize media based on file types, rename files, and utilize search, filtering, and sorting to find files quickly - all these are some of the different ways users can manage their files in this media library.
Other ways to manage your media within this library include:
The media library in Brizy Cloud sets the stage for future enhancements or upgrades.
Users can now only perform basic tasks such as uploading files, adding them to their site, and deleting files – most of which we’ve already mentioned. For instance, if you want to create complex taxonomies by organizing files into folders and subfolders, this feature is in the pipeline and will be available in a future update.
The plan is to:

If you want to know some of the benefits of this new media library feature, let's explore it in the next section.
How does the new media library update in Brizy Cloud improve media file management compared to the previous way of handling site files?
The following are three major ways this media library will enhance your Brizy Cloud experience from now on.
The main advantage of this new media library is increased convenience. It allows you to store media files in one central place and access them from any device with an internet connection – which was not the case before.
Previously, for instance, file upload was more technical. Users had to upload images from their computers whenever they wanted to add a new photo to their Cloud website. They couldn’t access or reuse images from previous uploads or from elsewhere.
Instead, they had to re-upload each file afresh whenever needed. This was both inconvenient and repetitive, especially if you work across multiple devices or need to use the same images frequently.
The new media library changes this. After uploading media files, you can continue building your site from any location. You're not limited to a specific computer or device that originally stored the image files. This makes the process more flexible, efficient, and convenient.
If you had to repeatedly re-upload files anew whenever you needed them, then managing files was also no easy feat. Therefore, adding this new media library provides a central place to organize, manage site files, and edit things like file names, links, and alt descriptions once and for all. Users won’t have to search across the entire website for these files and repeat this process again and again.
With this new media library, you now have the option to manually delete unused files. Previously, unused files were temporarily stored and deleted automatically after some time, primarily to optimize server storage rather than to enhance user experience.
The new media library update in Brizy Cloud simplifies managing your media files big time.
This centralized media library eliminates previous file management struggles you experienced by streamlining file storage and simplifying the organization of your media files.
Now, you can easily manage, access, and edit your media assets from anywhere and ease your workflow in Brizy Cloud.
If you’re already using Brizy Cloud Pro then you can find this media library update automatically added to your editor as usual. Just login and enjoy a new media experience in Brizy Cloud!
If not, consider subscribing to the Brizy Cloud plan and using its media library.
